Our Story
It all started with our first Family Wedding in August 2022 at the Farm. A seed was planted and we kept asking ourselves - what if we did host Weddings outside of our Family? What if we went into business? After a year of market research, planning and proposals to our Township - oh and another Family Wedding - we decided we were going to launch Pondview Estates. In November 2023 we launched Pondview Estates and we had our first booking for that Fall! Fast foward to today, beginning of 2026, we have now hosted 14 Weddings with a sold out season ahead! We are thrilled that the community has been so welcoming. We are proud to put Norwood on the map, and welcome you all to our Family Farm, Pondview Estates.
The Gardens
The Gardens are a magical place. With the Ceremony space right in the middle, the Gardens are full of our favourite perennials of Boxwood, Cedar, Hydrangeas, Special Grasses and more. We are known for our Hydrangea border around our historic Church Pews at our Ceremony location. Come July through September - this is a picturesque moment with the Hydrangeas at their peak. Our Church Pews sit 100 guests, with our extended lawn space fitting another 100 if needed. Our Gardens are fully live, with electrical in spaces for DJs, Live Music and of course for all the twinkle. At night.. this is space is even more magical if you can believe it!
The Gardens also act as your Cocktail Hour space. With many nooks around the Gardens, guests can lounge, enjoy the shade and summer breeze with a cocktail in hand, while you complete the rest of your Photos at the Rock Wall. The Gardens are very inviting for Guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Our Cocktail Hour Bar is also located right in the Gardens, so guests don’t have to travel far to order a beverage.
When it comes to Golden Hour, the Gardens are a popular spot for your Photographer to take you as the sun streams through the tree line and creates a glow against all the Plants and Flowers. The twinkle of the Edison lights add to the ambiance. If the sun doesn’t pop back out for you at sunset, the Garden twinkle makes up for it!
The Reception
Our Reception Space to the South of the property is our best kept secret. When Guests arrive, they are mesmerized by the Gardens and Ceremony space, then discover the Reception Space at Dinner time and become excited to enjoy a whole other Guest experience. Our Tent is a 60x60 Marquee Tent with dramatic peaks and romantic lighting. Our Tent is a blank canvas for our Clients. We provide the Hardwood Floor, Bar, Lighting, Podium, Arbour and our Decor package, the rest is up to you! You get to source your own furniture etc to really make this Reception Tent shine as a direct reflection of you and your style!
Our Reception space is equipped with a private driveway for your Catering team to access the back of the Tent. It is fully equipped with amble Power for all electrical needs. The Field is also well lit at night, providing a beautiful ambiance for your Dance and to ensure Guests can find the washrooms and way back to the parking lot safely.
We are proud of our Heritage Hardwood Floor that offers a high end experience to your guests while under a Tent as well as providing a solid Rain plan for your Wedding Day to keep guests dry and happy.
The Planner
Here at Pondview, you have access to your very own Planner and Coordinator. You aren’t alone when it comes to Planning your Wedding, and we know first hand how much work and details go into a perfect Wedding Day. We are here to help! We will guide you with quarterly check-in calls to review your personalize Wedding Planner you receive from us to ensure you are on the right path and have everything you need. As your Wedding month approaches, we have thorough walk throughs of your Timeline and Vision and ensure everything is perfect.
Our Coordination team will oversee all Set up for your Wedding weekend including; Reception space furniture placement, Friday night Rehearsal set up, Reception linen, wares and decor set up and Timeline execution of your day. We have a strong eye for detail and believe going the extra mile to make something perfect, counts!
As intimate as fluffing your dress as you walk down the aisle.. we are here every step of the way so you can be stress-free, in the moment and truly present for your Wedding day. We believe that is the most important part of it all - and we are here to carry you through it.
We welcome all decor aesthetics and styles when it comes to Decorating your Wedding. We strongly encourage a certain level of detail and care when it comes to your Decor, Linens and Wares and we share with you our favourite local Vendors to source and hire for your big day throughout all categories!
The Location
Welcome to Norwood, Ontario! Our town is small but mighty, and has everything you may need including Grocery, Pharmacy, Gas and Banks. Norwood is only 15 minutes East of Peterborough down Highway 7. Peterborough is where we suggest you book your accommodations for your guests. Many hotels to choose from to block off rooms for your guests to book. Close to popular restaurants and coffee shops, your Guests will have everything they need in one condensed area.
Every Client is required to book Shuttle Transportation for their Guests for their Wedding Day. This ensures every guests has a safe mode of transportation to get back to their accommodations after a fun day in the sun and a long night of dancing! Taxi service does not reach Norwood. Our driveway accommodates buses and limos!
For Client accommodations, we are pleased to share there are some great neighbouring AirBnB options for you and your bridal party! We are close to many different Lakes with Cottage rentals and excursions. There are no accommodations for clients or guests at Pondview.
The Snug is our Venue’s designated Client space! Here you and your bridal party can store your personal belongings, come in for a lipstick touch up or store treats in the fridge. This is a very casual hang out space where you can feel comfortable to start your journey to the Ceremony altar and take a breath just the two of you before you join in the party. We love the Snug.. and we think you will too!
